How can we help?

Can I track who took what actions in Cryptio?

What is the Cryptio action history?

Every time an event is performed on a workspace, this event is recorded and stored in database. For each event being recorded, the following pieces of information are stored:

  • The user that triggered the event

  • The date at which the event happened

  • The nature of the event (creation, deletion, update...)

  • The resource this event affected

You are also able to download this action history as an Audit trail report, follow the steps in this article.

What problem does the action history solve?

The action history allows to track how and when a workspace evolved, since its creation. Thanks to the action history, any question regarding the past state of the workspace can be answered. Here are a few examples:

  • Who deleted a wallet recently?

  • How many reports have been generated since the creation of the workspace?

  • When is the last time a transaction has been updated?

How to enable the action history?

The action history is always enabled. It can not be enabled, nor disabled.

How to access the action history?

The action history is accessible via the workspace settings. To access the workspace settings:

  • Click on the workspace name on the top left corner

  • Click "Manage workspaces" in the drop-down that appears

  • Click on the workspace you want to access the action history for

  • Scroll down the drawer until the action history appears

How to read the action history?

Here is an example action history entry:

An example audit trail entry

In this example, we can read the following information:

  • theo@cryptio.co is the member of the workspace that triggered the action

  • The action was performed 7 hours ago

  • The nature of the event is a deletion

  • The resource being affected are the reports (a report has been deleted)
