The new Auditor role in Cryptio allows you to securely share financial reports with third parties—without exposing internal configurations, transactions, or sensitive data.
Why does this matter?
External audits are essential, but full workspace access can create unnecessary risk. The Auditor role offers read-only, reports-only access, keeping your data secure while remaining audit-ready.
What can auditors see?
Auditors have access to:
- The Reports module only
- All report categories are available in the workspace, including:
- Monthly reporting
- Ledger and balance reports
- Audit support files
- Any custom reports set up in your workspace
- Functionality to view, generate, and export reports
They do not have access to:
- Wallets, transactions, sources, or settings
- Labeling, tagging, or data modification tools
- Any other module beyond Reports
📌 Note:
- Access is module-level—there are no individual report restrictions.
- No access to other modules or configuration areas within the workspace
- No row-level or wallet-specific report filtering
- One role per user—cannot combine with other roles
Who is it for?
This role is designed for:
- Audit firms working with crypto-native companies or enterprises
- Finance and compliance teams sharing data with third parties
- Organizations need to align with internal controls or audit-readiness frameworks
Used by roles like CFOs, Controllers, External Auditors, and Compliance Officers.
Best practices
- Use for external collaborators needing scoped report access
- Combine with internal audit cycles to maintain the separation of duties
- For broader access needs (e.g., transaction visibility), use the Accountant role instead
- Always review module-level permissions before inviting users
⚙️ How to assign the role
Admins can assign the Auditor role to new or existing users:
- Go to Manage Workspaces
- Select your workspace
- Click Invite a user
- Enter their email
- Select Auditor as the role
- Send the invite
