Managing a vast portfolio of digital assets can be challenging without the right tools for organization and analysis. Our new Asset Clustering feature addresses this by allowing users to categorize assets into specific clusters based on their unique criteria. This feature enhances efficiency, provides deeper insights into asset portfolios, and supports better decision-making in asset management.
Why use asset clusters?
- Simplifying asset management: Asset clustering groups similar tokens together, making it easier to manage and track your digital assets.
- Improved analysis and decision making: By clustering assets based on characteristics such as type, performance, or risk, you can more easily analyze trends, correlations, and patterns, aiding in more informed decisions.
- Risk management: Clustering tokens according to their risk profiles allows users to manage risk exposure effectively, supporting portfolio diversification and risk mitigation.
- Regulatory compliance: Asset clustering helps in meeting regulatory requirements by grouping tokens that are subject to specific tax treatments or compliance obligations, streamlining the process of adhering to these standards.
- Performance monitoring: Grouping tokens based on performance metrics, such as those that have consistently performed well or underperformed, helps in monitoring and assessing portfolio performance.
- Efficient reporting: Generate reports based on asset clusters, simplifying the reporting process and providing targeted insights.
How to set up asset clusters
-
Navigate to the 'Asset' module.
-
Select the 'Clustering' tab under the 'Assets' title.
-
Click on 'Create New Clusters'.
-
Add all related assets from the selector and give your cluster a name.
-
Click 'Add New Cluster'. The new asset grouping will now appear on the page.
-
To make changes (e.g., edit cluster name, add or remove assets), click 'Edit' next to the cluster and select 'Update Cluster'.
-
View the cluster category on the Assets module dashboard within Clustering.
💡 Once a cluster has been created, the 'Cluster' column in your 'Overview' tab (within the Asset module) will be populated with the cluster names. You can easily add more assets to existing clusters.
Where can you use asset clusters in Cryptio?
- Treasury module:
- The Asset Clusters block provides a breakdown of the portfolio by clusters.
- Use the Top Wallets table to organize wallets based on asset clusters.
- Transactions page:
- Filter transactions by 'Asset Cluster' using options like 'Is' or 'Is not' to select specific clusters.
- Reports module:
- Generate reports based on asset clusters. Choose a report type and select the asset cluster on which the report will focus.
- 💡 Note: Most reports, such as portfolio balances, transaction history, asset roll forward, and end-of-month reconciliation, will have asset cluster data points.
- [For enterprise plan only] Data integrity module:
- Use the Prices Sanity Check feature, where the Asset Breakdown table allows selection by asset cluster for enhanced data integrity checks.
How to use asset clusters for workflow automation
- Creating a favorite filter from asset clusters:
- After clustering your assets, navigate to the Transactions Page. Here, you can create a Favorite filter based on your asset clusters. This filter provides quick access to transactions related to specific clusters, optimizing review and management tasks.
- Implementing label rules on favorite filters:
- Apply label rules: Set up label rules based on your Favorite filter to automatically categorize transactions. Transactions matching the filter criteria will be labeled automatically, minimizing the need for manual intervention.
- Fully automated process: Once set up, your workflow will be fully automated, from asset clustering to transaction labeling, ensuring smooth and efficient management of your digital assets.
