💡 Please note, our reports are powered by Labels. You can learn about label management here. We recommend double checking that you’re completely happy with your labels before creating reports, to ensure they’re as powerful as possible. If you need help with this, please reach out to Support!

There are questions you may find useful to ask yourself to narrow down which report(s) you need at a given moment. You can ask yourself:

  1. What workflow am I working through? (see the table below for different accounting workflows, and the recommended reports that will help you with these)

  2. What is the key information I need? (e.g. Do I want an overview or more granular data?)

  3. What timeframe am I interested in?

  4. What assets do I want to look at?

  5. Which wallets do I need information for?

Accounting & Tax Reports

  • Transaction history - Export a detailed entry of each transaction containing blockchain data, Cryptio accounting data & your meta-data.
💡 The transaction history report is useful for extracting and manipulating the data you want to conduct your own internal reporting. It compiles all of the transactions found on the transactions page, including all the data that is used for price valuations, fees, fee currencies, etc.
  • Realized gains & losses - Get the data you need for your tax report.
💡 In general, gains and losses (also referred to as paper profit or loss) are considered to be realized when an investment or asset that you own is finally sold. Until you sell off that particular asset, the loss or gain that you experience will naturally be unrealized.
  • Ledger entries - Import your crypto transactions into any accounting software through ledger entries.
💡 The ledger entries report is an accounting report that you can directly export and import back into the accounting system - it's a universal way to share accounting data.
  • Rolled-up ledger entries - Get the sum of your entries within a chosen timeframe: by day, by week, or by month.
  • Asset roll forward - Tracks net change in asset balances after deposits, withdrawals, and transfers in a given period.
  • Today’s balances snapshot - Track the current value of your holdings per asset.
  • Assets list - Export the list of the assets within your workspace.
  • Transfers statement - Track all your internal transfer cost basis with this report. For example, as a digital asset broker by recording & sharing your broker-to-broker or broker-to-non-broker transfers this report helps you to stay compliant.
  • Portfolio balances (wallet breakdown) - Present your financial balances per wallet from the beginning of a period to the end of a period on a 3, 6, 9, or 12 months basis.
  • Bank statement - Download this statement to import into your accounting software in order to add transactions from Wallets or Assets that are being treated as Bank Accounts (similar to traditional bank statements).
  • Unidentified addresses - Export all addresses that you have imported but haven’t been identified in your Workspace yet. This makes it easier to name them and bulk upload them to Cryptio.

Financial Reports

  • Historical balances: asset breakdown - Get a full overview of the historical balances for each asset. In this report, you can filter for assets and date ranges.
  • Historical balances: wallet breakdown - Get a breakdown of the historical balances of each asset per wallet.
💡 This is ideal for users who have a large number of wallets and would like to create a report that is a breakdown per wallet without having to generate tons of asset breakdown reports filtered by a specific wallet.
  • Historical balances: per day breakdown - Get a breakdown of the activity per day, including on days where there is no activity.
⚠️ Please note that this report is not suited if you have more than 10.000 transactions to export. The Historical balances report is best for large volumes.
  • Portfolio balances - Present your financial balances from the beginning of a period to the end of a period on a 3, 6, 9, or 12 months basis.
  • Portfolio balances (wallet breakdown) - Present your financial balances per wallet from the beginning of a period to the end of a period on a 3, 6, 9, or 12 months basis.
  • Detailed Assets Roll Forward - The Detailed Assets Roll Forward report gives an additional view into the impact of each transaction type on the net change of asset balances in a specific period.
  • End-of-day balances - Get the closing balance of each of your assets on a specified day.
  • Today’s balances snapshot - Track the current value of your holdings per asset.
  • Aggregated movements historical balances overview - Get the total balances of each asset per day of activity. All balances are aggregated into one line to provide an overview of the total balances for each asset on the days of activity.
  • Fees expenditures - Track the amount of the fees spent per network and exchanges.

Audit & reconciliation reports

  • End of Month Reconciliation - Summarize and reconcile the key areas of your monthly accounting activity. This includes changes in asset balances, journal entries summarizing monthly activity, and a transaction-level detail view for the period.
💡 We recommend that you save a copy of this report each month as support for your completed monthly reconciliations.
  • Audit trail - Export the list of actions, as well as the user who took the action, on this workspace.
  • Sources list - Export the list of all the sources you imported from.
  • Contacts list - Download the list of all the contacts imported into this workspace.
  • Trial Balances - Get the sum of debits and credits for every account of your business on an accrual basis to identify discrepancies in your account totals, produce financial statements, and ensure that your accounts balance for a given period of time.
  • Journal sequential numbering - Export the list of transactions that have been pushed to the ERP system / synchronized twice.
  • Bank statement - Download this statement to import into your accounting software in order to add transactions from Wallets or Assets that are being treated as Bank Accounts (similar to traditional bank statements).
  • Wallet custom transactions report - Get the list of all the transactions that have been imported manually.
